Energy-Efficient Simultaneous Thread Fetch from Different Cache Levels in a Soft Real-Time SMT Procee high and low priority threads to simultaneously fetch instructions, while preventing the low priority threads from thrashing the high priority thread’s ICache data. Overall, we show an energy-performance metric that is 13% better than the next best policy when the high performance thread priority is 10x that of the low performance thread.

A Novel Non-exclusive Dual-Mode Architecture for MPSoCs-Oriented Network on Chip Designsich have to deal with heterogeneous traffic characteristics especially in terms of data size, such as the Massively Parallel Processors. Non-exclusivity enables packets latency reduction, which in turn implies lower task completion times, and also it increases throughput.

Efficient Reed-Solomon Iterative Decoder Using Galois Field Instruction Set instruction extensions for Galois field multiplication. Simulation models of proposed instructions were included into a processor simulator and performance of RS decoding was analyzed. The method has been validated for both Digital Video Broadcasting (DVB-T/H) and WiMAX and the method provides a total link budget improvement of up to 1 dB.
