The Development of Radiopharmaceuticals for Imaging CNS Receptors,ciation constant; or K., inhibition constant). When a ligand is bound to a receptor (R) located in the cell membrane, the ligand-receptor complex triggers responses of secondary messengers (i.e., induce protein kinase activity).
