Cerebral Blood Flow Measurement with Positron Emission Tomographyt spatial resolution is somewhat limited. The real advantage of PET over other techniques, however, stems from its capacity to provide measurements of metabolism as well. This combination has been especially useful for the study of ischemia, providing new insights into the role of ischemia in various disease states.
