A Novel Colon Wall Flattening Model for Computed Tomographic Colonography: Method and Validation,n elevation distance map to depict the neighborhood characteristics of the inner colon wall. We validated the new method via two CTC applications: TC detection and haustral fold segmentation. Experimental results demonstrated the effectiveness of our model for CTC studies.

Real-time and Accurate Endoscope Electromagnetic Tracking via Marker-free Registration Based on Endd position. our experimental results from phantom validation demonstrate that our simple idea of using the position of the endoscope tip center to perform the marker-free registration was very effective, reducing the tracking error significantly from at least 6.3 to 4.0?mm compared to currently available methods.

Patient Specific Modeling of Pectus Excavatum for the Nuss Procedure Simulation,pre-surgical CT. In order to validate our model, we compared the simulated shape of the chest with surface scans obtained from PE patients for both pre- and post-surgery. Results showed that both shapes are in agreement in the area of the deformity, making this method valid for the need of simulating the Nuss procedure.
