Experimental Methods of Fusion Neutronicss 5 and 6 dealt specifically with diffusion in the convective boundary layer and the stable boundary layer, respectively. Clearly they have pre-empted much of what I might say, and I will only briefly cover these areas for the sake of completeness.

Observed Characteristics of the Atmospheric Boundary Layer,he work on the detailed characteristics and diffusive action of atmospheric flow has been concentrated on the surface layer for the obvious reasons of accessibility and practical interest. Relatively little information exists on the rather inaccessible regions above the surface layer, more especially those beyond the reach of tall towers.
