An Experimental Study of a Simple Ant Colony System for the Vehicle Routing Problem with Time Windowe performed to compare the proposed model to other metaheuristic techniques. Modelling ACO: Composed Permutation Problemstive function is the sum of the qualities of the solutions of the subproblems. We propose two methods for handling scaling problems (pheromone update masking and rescaling of the objective function) that can improve ACOs behaviour.
